Remember this mirror?
I think it was probably something that was on the wall in a factory or something.
I wanted to make it over to look something like the two mirrors above.
It was so easy!
I just wrapped rope around the edge. I used hot glue.
I did it one strip at a time, making sure the edges came together in the same spot.
I covered the cut edges with a piece of an old leather belt. I put a piece on each side to make it even. Then I used a thinner belt as the hanger.
I used hot glue on the leather, too.
Total cost?
$4 for the mirror
$2 for the belts
I already had the rope and the hot glue, but you can get a roll of rope for about $11.
If we ever get our hallway done, that's where it will hang.
Thanks for reading!

Your Mirror is So Great! Even cooler then your inspiration pictures. I love it! also love the hooks it's hanging from.
You always find the neatest stuff.
This is fantastic! So creative, and I love the finished product!
I love it!!! The perfect combination of rope and leather....hmmmmm. :@
And you didn't even have to fire up a power tool! (hot glue guns don't count) I like the coat rack it's hanging on, too.
Yours looks like the best one of the bunch... with a lot more character..I thought of you many times at the Farm Chicks Show....maybe net year.
Very cool!
Hey, I also love the colors of that sack of grasses, is it? behind the mirror in the first photo.
Really cool! I love the belts - the perfect finishing touch!

Where do you find good estate sales around here? I have found a few, but not always great by the time I get there.
